The depressing thing about setting up analytics for my website is that I get to see how few people are on it. Currently 1. Me. I can see everything I'm doing. It reassures me that the analytics are working...but is otherwise quite boring. (Did not integrate google analytics when I published the site, and didn't want to. Trying out Fathom. So far, so good, but it's been like 10 minutes.)
So hey - if you want to make my day please visit my website: https://curiousduck.io/ )
@testobsessed Done and one better, I will start linking again.
@mlevison Many thanks! If you have any favs that you've missed & want a perma link to just let me know. I'll prioritize getting them ported over.
@testobsessed the original article explaining ATDD.
Oh dear.
I will fish it out, but I will have to update it.
The theory I presented way back in the day looked great on paper. And I 100% believed in it when I wrote it up. But alas I've never seen it work well in practice. It was too unwieldy. And while I've heard some say they had success, I haven't seen it myself. So the update will focus on ATDD as a way of framing conversations about expectations with some advice on capturing those expectations in tests. Hope that's enough.
@testobsessed It will be better than the original. That is all I could hope for.
@mlevison It will take me a bit to collect my updated thoughts, but in the meantime you can now find the original paper here: https://curiousduck.io/assets/pdfs/atddexample.pdf
I don't know if I have the original source file so I won't be updating the original after all. But I will publish something on the blog with updated thoughts.
